About Youth Council
Through organizing service projects and giving youth an active voice in the community, the
Layton Youth Council will make Layton City a better place to live.
Layton Youth Council members are involved in:
- All projects designed, led and directed by Layton City youth aged 13-18.
- Youth Council projects directly benefit residents of Layton City.
- All youth council members complete a minimum of 50 service hours a year.
- Layton Youth Council is an active member of the Davis County Youth of Promise.
- Youth Council members gain an understanding of governmental procedures.
- Youth participate in an annual day at the legislature and an annual state wide youth council conference.
